Really enjoyed reading this. (captivated of course by the picture of your nephew, but then read back to the tribute to your Dad.)
Nice writing; interesting wine speak, quite lovely actually. I doubt my palate would ever be able to detect the flavors and sensations you so readily articulate and name. Maybe it's a partially learned skill?
Greg is a long-time oenophile (it's a hereditary condition, in his case). His only regret is marrying a tea-totaler. (Joking!)
He got into the wine business by accident about 12 years ago, and continues to enjoy learning about and tasting wines from around the globe. In May 2009 he attended the International Wine Fair in London ("Wine Heaven" as Greg puts it). He is a recognized sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers. He currently serves as a Wine/Beer Specialist with Central Market in his hometown of Ft. Worth, Texas.
